MIL overseas duty station

    so im thinking about going to japan to iwakuni is it worth it? i have heard it very fun anyone else been there or oki

    Okinawa here. Is it worth it? Its my first duty station so I don't have anything to compare to besides tech-school and AF BMT.

    Its not a bad place to be, but just make sure you have some sort of financial plan. If you don't you'll go broke really fast here, unless you are a hermit who stays in your room all day. If thats you then it doesn't matter where your next base is.

    If you need anymore info feel free to ask. My BJJ mentor is a USMC O-5, and I can ask him about USMC related stuff for you.

    well today i picked up my aircraft CH-46's New River, NC but im also putting in a package for HMX-1 which i hope i get

    Good luck with HMX-1, I havent heard of boots going straight from A and C school to HMX. Only squared away and proficient Marines are considered for that unit. Then again , there's a green side and white side of the unit.
