I've been tinkering around with OC'ing my AMD setup trying to find an optimal happy place. Been having a weird problem where everything will boot up and run flawlessly. I'll load up WoW and sit in the middle of Ironforge (high traffic area for those that don't know) and get good framerates, 45-50fps. Then about 10 minutes later, it will drop to 15-20 and STAY there. I have to reboot the system to return it to normal.

    Here's my setup:
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego
    Abit KN8 SLI
    XFX GeForce 7800GT
    2x512mb Corsair XMS PC3200
Stock HSF but temps were ~46*C tops under load

The most I've gotten out of the OC so far has been a 239 fsb, 11.5 multiplier running at 1.5v CPU and 2.6v for the RAM. The above still occurs if I drop it to 225 fsb. Everything is stable 100% at 12x mutiplier at 217 fsb, stock voltages (but can't go higher).

Any clues what's causing the slowdown? I'm not a complete noob with this but I'm certainly no expert, any advice would be appreciated. :blue:

And there's the response I expected to see. :hsd:

If the slowdown is a result of too much OC, then fine, I'll be happy with where I had it. I will try getting the correct mounting brackets for my Zalman HSF in the meantime.
