anyone running a OTA setup at home? There's only 3 OTA HD channels in my zip (68127), but I'd like to see if I can get this to work.

I know nothing about this other than i might have to aim the damn antenna at each single... everytime

What receiver do you run? My DLP doesn't have a tuner built-in, so I assume I'll need one of those as well.

    Any thoughts/comments are welcome. :wavey:

You need a good OTA hidef antenna and you need some kind of hidef tuner. Most people I deal with who do this use their Hi Def TiVo. The high def tivo is around $350 and yes, its made for DirecTv but you dont have to use the directv shit. You can just use the tivo portion and hidef tuner on it. Then you can record and pause live HD TV :)

What makes an antenna an HD antenna? I hooked up a regular tv antenna to a plasma at my work with a built in tuner and was able to pick up 18 digital stations, of which 4 came in HD

freaky! I live in 68127 too. My TV has a built in tuner, so I just plug in a coax from Cox (we dont have cable) and I get my HD that way. I can also watch when people are watching In Demand, and get the music channels. I can watch ABC, NBC, Fox, and PBS. My buddy told me this weekend that we can now get CBS, but I haven't had time to turn on the TV.

The HD7084P rocks my anus off and I'm almost 50 miles from Chicago. No preamp.

I have my DLP hooked up to OTA anteanna and get quite a few channels, but only a handful of HD channels. I guess the house is in a good location.
