Sometimes when navigating through outlook, a pop-up will appear that says "Retrieving data from Microsoft Exchange server."

I am currently trying to find a way to repress that pop-up. I tried changing several registry keys, but it still happens from time to time. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Let me know. It is only a problem because when it happens, people think their email is not working right, when it is actually a normal occurance with 2003. Thanks in advance!

The registry key changes I made were:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Cached Mode registry key:

    • Upload=dword:0000003c
    • Download=dword:0000003c
    • Maximum=dword:0000003c

These keys did not exist, I had to create them. 3c = 60 seconds.

I will be damned. Now I just need to find a registry key for that setting.

    Exchange (REG_DWORD):
1 is on (default), 0 is off. This controls whether the “Show Exchange Server Messages” option is set.
NetConn (REG_DWORD): 1 is on (default), 0 is off. This controls whether the “Show Network Connectivity Changes” option is set.
NetWarn (REG_DWORD): 1 is on (default), 0 is off. This controls whether the “Show Network Warnings” option is set.
