I am installing 2 Linksys Outdoor wireless routers and I'm looking for some ideas for weatherproof boxes. The routers are "weatherproof" but I am wanting a little more protection.

Anybody have any ideas or dealt with this before?

    Thanks

    I agree with 7960...

Use a weather-resistant container similar to what your telco or cable provider would use. Then use an external antenna outside of the box. Run the antenna cable out the box, and bam, weather-proof router.

only caveat...make sure the cable connections come out the BOTTOM, and seal them with weatherproof caulking. I went on-site once to fix a problem and the box was filled with water because the guy had the antenna coming out a hole in the top and used bathtub latex to "seal" it :ugh:

I thought this was a given (follow directions that come with enclosure) but yes, this is true.

Thanks for replies! Those boxes look great. I will post pics after they get installed.

I bet. After I said it, I recall a few of the "here's your sign" situations I've seen.
