My oldest boy turns 10 in a few weeks and I decided to get him a Ruger 10/22 :noes: My wife said no, not for his birthday.... So I picked it up yesterday instead.

So lastnight I decided to take him out for an hour or so. Well that turned into almost 4 hours :eek3:

    He started out small.............

And since the wife wasnt there......

His second shot he took out a soda can from at least 75 yards  Ohh yea he is only 9 years old :wtc:

The wife does NOT want him shooting this one.....

But its not like I handed it to him and walked away..... Sheeesh! His first shot with the AK, he hit another soda can from maybe 75 feet.

    Ahhh what a great day!

Perhaps his sight isn't magnified, it doesn't really look like a standard ACOG

it could be a 1x reddot, but still, you dont need it that high. having the FSB either absolute co-witness or lower 1/3 co-witness isnt a big deal.

its not like people are jacking up aimpoints until you cant even see the FSB in the tube, right?

Yeah I don't know much at all about ars or optics. I'm hoping to put together my first one soon so I can say i've shot one.

And coming from some one who can't even install magpuls right. That means alot.

In fairness to Hoss, Magpul's own website shows them being installed that way, too.

Thats the hole direction for ranger floor plates also, and also if you turn them around the other direction its harder to reomve mags from mag pouches

:ugh: maybe on the old ALLICE type of pouches but in the kind i run its not hard to remove them.

did you take notes from frong about insulting people by digging up old shit? i even explained the pic you're referring to (about my magpuls being on "the wrong way") why i have them like that.

I guess if you're trying to manipulate your bullet button or whatever you want to call it with one hand, hold your rifle and pull a mag you need every "advantage" you can get.
