I have a Dell computer here that i use for Dream Weaver, Photoshop and various other programs. Mainly for work that the shop needs that i don't have the time to do while at the shop.

Well the computer has 256mb of ram now with one more slot open in it now and i want to go to about 1gb so i can really work in between all the programs without it slowing me down or anything.

my question is what kind of ram do i need? the computer has a 2.8ghz P4. It's a Dell Dimension 4700 series.

Also, who offers competitive prices on memory? Can you buy it used?

    thanks

get 3200... you cant go wrong. If its too fast, it will down-clock itself, and its not much mroe expensive than lower BW ram.
