hes in blue.. i wonder where this guy went?
Wow who's that ring girl.
yeah, where'd that homie go?
he was cageOG.
was it the other guys first fight?
nice win for him, but what an awful awful stance he has for striking.
It looked like a weird muay thai stance. I think the guy he was facing didn't have a lot of experience. I'm not trying to take the win away, but the guy just covered up on the ground.
haha the guy asks him at the end how long he had to prepare for the fight.. and he said five hours
obviously to train
lol I remember him from before he started training.
He was always more of a grappler than a striker if I remember correctly. His gym "started" training Muay Thai on semi recently. Until then it was stricktly a BJJ gym, though I know he trained MMA on the side from it. Pretty sure he is an assistant BJJ instructor at his school (East West here in MI).
Nice debut fight.
He was being super nice to him when he mounted him, lulz.
I didn't think he stand up was bad.
I mean, its not mine or anything, but not bad
i'm not knocking him really. i mean good for him for getting in there and kicking ass. it's just that his stance looks like he watched The Quest and is awkwardly trying to emulate the thai guy in the movie. i just commented cause he was wearing muay thai shorts. it would be like if i wore a gi for my entrance lulz
I have a buddy that fights MMA and his stand up is...well non existant really.
But we taught him some combo's on the thai pads. So for one of his fights he is wearing his Wand shorts and thai socks and doing warm ups on the pads. And we knew the guy he was fighting was watching him warm up. So we "accidentally" said to loud about how we hope he can keep this fight standing because he has ZERO ground game.
Lol at the guy for immediatly taking blake down and getting triangled.
I apparently tore his ACL. I didn't want to hurt him too much on the ground. I just wanted the sub. He was a nice guy even though before hand his trainer told me I was gonna get knocked out.
The guy won the weekend before with a first round KO. I have been doing muay thai formally for about a month and a half.
Did you change gyms or are you still doing BJJ?
Still doing bjj. I want my blackbelt by March of next year.
hey guys, found him.
just playing, lookin good though. congrats on the win
did you already get your brown?
BTW, I worked out heavy, got hammered the night before and had to work the morning of the fight. After work, a promoter called me and needed someone to fight that guy. The guy he had lined up backed out of the fight.
I took the fight on a few hours notice, and I hadn't planned on fighting until April.
HES ALREADY A BLACK BELT
or something? what kind of belt is that?
Nice man, the dude looked like he lost all confidence after the second leg kick. I think your appearance may have made you look like a stronger stand-up fighter than you really were. He basically gave up his back and tapped very quickly.
So as was asked before, do you have your brown?
I've been doing bjj since I was 19 and 6 months. I've had my purple for almost 2 years and got it after like a year.
I only get tapped by blackbelts, but can hang with them and put them in danger. I tap browns.
The plan was to wait for Rigan Machado to come up this March to get my brown then get the black in bjj and in judo next march (2010) before I turn 23 (March 16).
