Antonio Silva (as expected) is having his license revoked by the CSAC.. The kicker is that the people who cornered him are ALSO having their licenses revoked for abetting the ruling..

I noticed JZ was in his corner.. Who else was? Ben, any insight?

Hopefully Calvan didn't want to fight in the US ever :wtc::wtc::wtc:

I forgot all about that, but damn that's harsh to include the corner men. Shouldn't matter much for JZ, he seems pretty comfortable in Japan...

got suspended by CSAC for roids for 1 year, went to Sengoku and fought regardless, losing his license in CA (effectively across all of the U.S.) and now anyone who cornered him in this fight will lose their license in CA (read: US)..

JZ was in his corner and there were 2-3 other guys iirc

CSAC is pathetic. Hopefully promoters will start to realize that and have less events in California.

If he did it in Japan they should look away. They only need to make regulations for the sport in the land of California... if the rest of the states jump on board then fine but what happens in another country shouldnt be any of their concern.

he got popped for roids in CA. And his license was suspended in CA. You can't go overseas and fight when suspended, just like you cant go to another state. He's stuck fighting in Japan for the rest of his life now unless CSAC unravels and fraud is found.

I thought he could never come back to California? All the other states are backing the ruling as well?

fuck i 100% agree with taking big foot's license away. he got busted and isnt serving the duration of his punishment. i dont give a shit how innocent he says he is, it was wrong of him to go to japan to "escape" his punishment. but taking away the cornermens liscence??? that is so wrong :madfawk:

im only saying that too b/c i was REALLY hopeful to see JZ in the UFC :wtc:

i could be wrong, but i think if you get banned in one state, it is VERY hard to get a license anywhere in the states..

some1 that knows more about this should chime in though

amazing how diaz was mature enough to respect his suspension for the herb. and yet this douchefuck couldnt comprehend that.

had he been fighting for the ufc, he wouldnt have had a chance to fight anywhere during his suspension. and had elite still been in business, they wouldnt have let him fight while suspended either. fuck this brazilian goomba.

He was very, very, very sure he hadn't taken stereroids.. He didn't admit to it, tried to fight it, etc..

Having a year off can make or break a family. If this guy needs to put food on teh table, keep the lights on or put clothes on backs - then I fully understand going to Japan.

He wasn't going anyhwere in US MMA anyways.. *Maybe* the UFC picks him up but he's got a MUCh bigger draw in Japan. He fits in well in K-1, Sengo, Dream..

i seriously doubt it was a money issue, more likely a brazilian pride "i can do whatever the fuck i want issue".
im not hating on him skill wise tho, i saw him trying to learn and improve. and iirc he was going to or had made the cut to be a heavyweight and not a super heavy. him vs brock could have made for a big payday.

shit, get a regular job and make ends meet for a year, he could have:
-washed windows on high-rise office buildings
-changed light bulbs in senior living apartments
-been a scarecrow for nebraskan cornfields
-feed giraffes at the san diego zoo
    -get cats out of trees
-be a bouncer in south florida
-star in tapout or be the newest member of the chokeout crew
-be the next teacher in never back down II

    shall i go on? :squint:
