I'm in that lost and angry state after getting passed over for Air Force Officer Training School. Admittedly my application was sub par and hashed together while I was on meds for a month following jaw surgery. I want to apply again but waiting until October feels like a kick in the balls. I've heard a rumor that the Army could have me through OCS and doing whatever it is that they do before then. Any truth to that? How much different would the quality of life be? I'm signing up for the Army OCS Portal right now to get more intel from that end. :wavey:

I didnt make it first time up, waited around almost forgot about the second board and then I was selected many months later I was gone. Its a long process which im sure you know. Dont give up if thats what you want, I did'nt and its seemed to have worked out so far.

I'm relatively impatient. I figure the Army would have to be pretty damn good to be worth starting over. I think I've got this Air Force thing down. I want it, I just feel shorted and worthless right now.

I'm stepping it up a notch. I didn't like my block 22 so I've completely rewritten it to exactly answer what was asked. I also kicked up the applicant profile and I'll be taking classes towards my masters. I'm switching to a rated board and my interviewer will be an operator this time around as well as the person who writes my LOR. This time will be different, I just don't know if I can wait any longer.

I got the mail in Professional Aeronautics one from Embry-Riddle. For an extra fifty bucks they said I graduated Magna Cum Laude. For twenty more I got two minors, Safety and Management.

Sorry about the non select, but ArmyOCS.com is a really great tool for researching Army OCS. While waiting to hear back about WOFT results I researched OCS as a backup option and got a lot of good info from that website.

Army officers never sleep in sub-standard conditions. They also never spend weeks on end eating nothing but MREs and bathing out of their water bottle. :hsugh:

I don't care so much about me. I care about my wife and kids. The Air Force employs world class surgeons and offers accredited preschool services on base. We live in a five bedroom 3 story home. What is the dependent life like?:hsd:

They will live in a tent and will eat MREs with the rest of the dependents. Oh - and reveille is at 0600 every morning. Tell them they will need to be at their tent door at that time, dressed and prepared for drill. :wiggle:
