I think a few of you know me... so for those of you who do, I'm moving to DC in just a matter of weeks. I'm the photo editor for OSU and my work has been featured in the main columbus publications, but it's not my career (yet).

Anyway, I graduate this sunday and have a full time job lined up with an engineering co... so maybe I can finally consider a 5d2

but really I'm in a crunch since I don't have a place to live yet, and I start April 19th.

I have NO connections in DC so if anyone here can help a fellow OT'er out let me know! Or if anyone has any shared housing rooms available (or a couch??).

Figured I'd ask here since I think some of you are from DC and I already have a goal of quitting my day job years from now :eek4:... would be pretty cool to meet some photographers in DC right away.

i live right next to DC.

you want to live in northern VA. DC is shit to live in and MD is boring/sucks. what is your budget for monthly rent?

i live in georgetown. housing in dc is crazy expensive pretty much everywhere in the NW. NE is a little cheaper, a little more dangerous. I would stay outta the south all together if you could, although I've had friends living in SW that seemed to think it was OK. SE is just fucking ghetto. I'd offer you a couch, but I don't think my roommate will condone it.

DC housing law states that you only have to give notice of moving out a month before hand, so all the places you're going to want to look are JUST opening up right now - it's the perfect time to start looking

I'm not particularly good, but i would be down to do photo related stuff if you want (i don't know any photographers in dc either) or even just grab a beer.

lemme know if you have any questions about the area.

defiantly get a place in NOVA, so much better than DC and MD. Try looking into Fairfax particularly, since it's generally nicer than other places in NOVA. But be prepared for traffic since we love traffic in the DMV :)

    I'm in NOVA, Centreville.

It's extremely boring here. If it wasn't so far from work I'd want to live in Arlington.
