Since we all know I can't go too long without buying something, mid next month is 'new toy' time again. Here's my dilemma...

Should I sell the Sigma 10-20 and buy a Nikkor 14-24, or should I buy a 85 1.4 and save up for the other lens until the next go around. What does OTAP say? :dunno:

if you a ff camera, get the 14-24mm f/2.8

the 85 has some nasty back/front focus problems.

    up to you though

Youre going to get both eventually. Which one would you rather play with first.

    I say 14-24

you'll get bored with the 14-24 quick, unless u take scenery shots or large group shots. it's sharp as hell though. my most used lens is the 85 1.4 since i shoot mainly portraits, and of course the beast, which i might sell for the 24-70 though.

i also never heard of the 85 1.4 with focusing issue.

me neither. I want a wide 2.8 aperture lens for wide angles at events. UWAs make great dance floor lenses for weddings. 85 will come in time, just didn't know if I should do it now. :dunno:

I also plan on getting the beast on down the road in favor of the 24-70... but that has nothing to do w/ the beast being 'bad', just w/ me being a gear whore. I want my own little trifecta. :o

it's nice for events, but its has lots of distortion on the corners

14-24 would be awesome on a FF.

the 10-22 rarely comes off my camera as it is, and one of the reasons (ONE of the reasons) i can't bring myself to buy a 5DmkII is because i can't use the lens on it. :o
