We just switched over from a shared host to a dedicated server with a new dynamic site and a new domain. My original plan was to point our old domain to the same ip as the new site. Right now I've still got the old site hosted and put a 301 redirect in the header. I'm a little hesitant to point the old site to the ip of the new site though since our google rankings have gone way up and our traffic has gone from about 900 up to around 1200 uniques a day. What does OT think I should do :x:

Google shouldn't care what your IP address is, it lists based off the domain/page.

Change your A Record in your Domain host information to point to the same IP as your new domain.
