First off, that thing is ginormous; that can't be convenient for carrying around. Second, the first thing you have to look at with an external enclosure is whether the hardware is reliable. Look at the reviews; it's a pretty mixed bag, with almost as many reviews in the 1-3 egg range as in the 4-5 egg range; that's a bad sign. The first review complains about data errors; that's an even worse sign. I'd pass on this one.

I've had good luck with Vantec's NexStar 3 external enclosures. They don't make a single box with all three hookups, but they do make sexy USB/eSATA boxes for both desktop and laptop SATA drives. Frankly, you're not likely going to be in a situation where you need to use this drive at top speed and you're nowhere near your computer, so the USB should suffice when you're plugged into other peoples' computers.
