I mean...there are plenty of jobs for the work I do (I've gotten some good offers), housing costs are about equivalent with Boston, it's perfect weather all year round, I love the beach and sailing and all that shit, and there's a great nightlife. I have nothing tying me to where I am now. Why not do it? If I could find a legit roommate who'd want to go halfs on a 2br/2ba condo in the downtown area, I'd be all over it.

Anybody live in the area? Convince me to do it, or not to do it.

i want to move there eventually

  3. I live in Northern California (San Jose) but can vouch for how amazing San Diego is as I've been there a good amount of times. Really nice weather, especially compared to your East Coast weather. :ugh: Snow...:ugh:

Lots to do in the surrounding area too. Do it. I would die in the snowy winters probably...not sure how you guys do that year after year.

Holla atcha boy. I'll help you with your glute shots, no homo.

I gotta pay down some debt first. But I'm realistically thinking within 6-8 months of moving from the area.

i say that because i have a bunch of close friends out there (Hamster on here's one of em) and it's a fucking blast every time I visit, it's within driving distance of great surfing/skiing/hiking/biking/camping/etc, the weather's nice, rent's not too bad, and so on and so forth

If you're not close with family or friends then I would get the hell out of here dude, all the way.

I absolutely cannot stand the fall / winter months and IMO the only REALLY cool thing in the NE is NY City, so if it were me in your position I would already be looking at real estate.

  10. For sure...my perfect day would be like 80 degrees and sunny. Not too hot, but not cold at all either. End of summer/fall is fuckin sweet. :naughty:

Anything below 40 degrees and I'm about to die. I don't understand how people do anything when it is like -10 degrees out. :ugh: I would just sleep all day.

Rent is kind of pricey unless you want to live in the ghetto, but there's tons of shit to do here. In all honesty, if you can afford it there's no reason not to come out here.

I want to get out of norcal.
Lived up here my whole life.

It's cool but more laid back than socal.. from what I've heard.
I might transfer to a school down south. Not sure where though..

I'm interested to hear more about san diego life.

I love winter. Grandparents used to live in VT and we would spend 2-3 weeks up there around christmass every winter.

    That's because you're in Sac/Chico, that's California's dumpster

I was raised in Sonoma County, love it there, but will be moving to Culver City in January :bigthumb:

    :werd: sac/chico is garbage

norcal is OK.. socal is more my thing. beaches, unbelievably hot women.. hell just go to dana point or san clemente. every fucking girl is 5'2-5'5, blonde hair, big fake tits, and has lots of cash through daddy. and tons are flat out whores

    lots of bros though

  23. I'm not gonna say I dont love the idea of winter/snow, but to LIVE in it for months at a time would get old. I like to go up to Tahoe and go snowboarding, party, whatever for a week or so. Any more than that and it is too much cold, wet clothes and scraping ice, shoveling snow, cranking the heater all the time...all the bad stuff of winter.
