I'm in the market for a good cheap laptop. My only requirements are that it must have WiFi built in.....bluetooth is a plus, but not necessary, an 80gb drive would be good enough, and at least 256mb RAM. I'm not looking for something to do gaming on, just production type things....reports, typical work related things. Has to be new and being able to purchase one locally would be a plus.

I was looking at the Compaq V2000 line.....cNet had one listed around $700 and the comments were okay I guess.

    What would you guys recommend??

id wait a week and see if the v2555 goes on sale at staples, if it does you could use the difference to bump the v2555 up to 1gb ram and a bigger hard drive
    ( ~100gb) or a dvd burner? just a thought
