It looks good overall, but it has a little unnecessary bling. A built-in LCD temperature monitor? You can get MotherBoard Monitor 5.xx for free and it sits next to the clock.

An Athlon 64 x2 might be better than the chip you're considering. AMDs aren't great at running more than one program at once, and while you might think that gaming eats up tons of CPU power, it's actually all the background stuff (Windows XP components) that gets in the way and lags up your games. A dual-core CPU would improve that problem greatly because it could ACTUALLY run two programs at once instead of switching back and forth (which wastes time).

When you format the HDD, make sure to create two partitions; C drive = total size - 1050MB, D drive = 1050MB. Then put your swap file on the D drive and never use the D drive for anything else again. This way your swap file will never get fragmented and slow, like it would if it were mixed in with all your crap on the C drive.

Even better would be to get 2GB of RAM and turn off your swap file altogether so Windows won't inisist on using it even when it doesn't need to.
