got a couple of old compaq proliants sitting around and i'm bored. what would you choose to install (no real use for them - just for screwing around with)

    - openbsd
    - freebsd
    - linux (specify distro)
    - netware 5 :o

Choose an OS/setup that you have least experience with, so you can learn. Putting on something you know that you won't use is a complete waste of time.

    fuck no

yeah, i have probably 3-4 but some are real shit. we already have a linux cluster that keleko built. maybe i'll make the dhcp server he needs for it. i guess i have the least experience with openbsd. solaris would be the best candidate, but i don't have a copy for intel, only sparc (and no spare sparc hardware)

Wait till you get machines with torque bits with stubs in the middle. The hp field engineer didn't even have the right tools for the task. They have to overnight courier a tool just so we can open up a box. retarded.
