OT Mechanics, need help

  1. What's up guys

My Lude is leaking Radiator Fluid in the back of the motor, me and OT member gLok located the leak last night. It looks like it's coming from the heater hose by the water pump. He said we will probably have to take the intake manifold off to get to it, but we dont have a garage to work on it.

Can anyone tell me how much work is involved to replace the heater hose in a 96 Prelude Si? It's a H23 motor.

I called Honda just to see how much it is to fix, and I was quoted at $190 to fix it, does that seem high, or is there a lot of work involved with this :dunno:

    Thanks :bigthumb:

$190 to fix that type of problem isn't that bad.

If the hose has gone bad, drain the coolant and just replace the hose. If the water pump is actually leaking, it'll cost more than $190 to fix it and will be more time consuming.

  3. :werd:, I don't think it's the Water Pump, but if it is then I'll probably replace the timing belt too.. Then I can look forward to spending $800 +
