    I bought some shit :)

Modano curve, 110 Flex...sportscheck had them on sale 130$+tax...from 300$ CDN....I bought that composite stick on the left of the synergy, 4 days ago, one game and it's making funny noises already, I am too hard on them...and everyone on my team said to get the synergy...so I splurged :noes:

I tried on every single skate in the store my size...vapor's, bauer originals, RBK, Vectors, Tacks, Easton Synergy 900, hmm.. ended up picking the graph's...they fit like a fuckign glove...organimically well, my only worry is that they will 'stretch', but I doubt that'll happen...450$ on sale for 350$ adn the guy was chill, gave me 10% discount.. :o ignore the easton blade protectors :o

I only NOW realize how bad CCM fit me...the arch is completally off compared to my foot, I always thought all that pain was because they had to be broken in...nope, not at all :o

I'm liking the curve on that stick. Good for slap shots and saucer passes. I couldn't personally justify that much for a stick though. The most I've paid was $70 for a Hespeller 1 pc. last yr.

Wow, you went all out on the skates, to me, thats the place to spend the big bucks on hockey equipment. Are they T-blades?

Same thing with me, $130 on a stick is crazy talk. I could buy nearly 10 sticks for that price if you get a sale.

Do you buy the Wal Mart specials?

Wood sticks are where it's at. I like them better, personally. I'll keep using the comp. until it's toast though.

I just wait till sportcheck has a deal and then i just go buy a bunch of cheapies. Most of the best players I know don't use composites, I just cant justify the cost on a regular basis for the level I play at.

    no I am not

here's the thing though I am 6'0, 180 pounds, my understanding is that I should be around the 100 flex mark..

now they only had 85 or 110...I tried the 85, felt really soft...I figure the 110 is a bit stiff, but from my size I should be ok with it

please correct all my incorrect statments

tell ya the truth, I suck, and I know it, but at the same time, I've never ever broken a stick in my life, my guess is I get to finish this season adn hopefully next with it at least

sometimes I just gotta spoil myself, and I haven't in a while

BUT, looks like I bought a house with the wifey today, so I won't be spoiling myself for a long time :sadwavey:

    nope, not T-blades

I thought about it, and talked to the salesguy there, and thought I'm better off with conventional blades..I can always swap the bottom end of it to T-blades if I choose to go that route, but for now I'll stick with the conventional blades

actually from my understanding they are about the same level, but I could be wrong...I just needed to get out of those CCM's cause htey got REAL sloppy on my feet, even my GF said I looked like I couldn't skate with them on (she's seen what I can do, and I'm an ok skater, but it was bad)

BTW how do yuo like the T-Blades? I wish I could try some, I keep hearing mixed reviews, rarely ever any bad ones, seems like it's a preference though, the t-blades seem to be a more consistant sharpening because they come pre-sharpened

I'm still sticking with the Ultra-Lite sticks. I love those. As for skates Grafs are the best imo, you should love them.

Yeah, they are definetly really consistent, and if you want you can really make them last. I love them, but they cost some money to be put in, and if you're short on cash its really not necessary for thm.

    i only use an 85 flex :sad2:
i never wanted to drop much in player equip, since i'm a goalie usually.

i think i'm gonna play goalie in a different league this summer since i'm playing fowards with my usual team.

like i said, i'm typicly a goalie. i never wanted to drop much in player equip.
i have like 4k in goalie stuff. plus, only like 2% of my shots are slapshots. i'm a little guy, i score on picking the corners & breakaways. i'm usually the fastest guy out there :o
thats why i'm not playing goalie this season, we lost our team's fastest skater. so i'm filling the void.

Thats ok, with that height and weight you should be able to work the flex nicely if you're not a weak mofo.. i have a harder time with stick flexes being a shorter guy...i use a 95 flex, but im only 5'8 175lbs...

on a second note, i made the state representative squad last night, :bigthumb: and i get my vapor XXX's in 9 days :bigthumb:

    congrats man, :bigthumb:

I tried the new skates tonight...orgamisc and tight...only thing that bothered me was in the 2nd period, felt like the top got loose (bottom was still tight), but I am sure some hockey tape will fix that

we still lost 7-4, but our game is improving like crazy :sadwavey:

BTW for the last 4-5 weeks, everytime I skate and take long strides, or take a hard shot, I pull the muscle on the inside of my thight...and I been stretching, this is pissing me off, anyone have any good stretches I can do? should I try stretching daily to get the muscle to loosen up? we got a scrim on friday I really hope I figure something out before then, I am sick of it
