I'm looking at a cherry 2001 330ci w/ 74K. Other than that the car is flawless. Should I keep looking? :hs:

that depends on the price... and i personally like the 4 doors better.
    go for a e46 M3 or 4 door 330i w/ sports package IMO.

$15k is pretty damn cheap, didn't realize they are so down on price now. the e46 is no different than any other BMW, if you are not prepared to do the work yourself get ready to shell out a lot of money on a consistent basis.

at that millage be prepared to replace the shocks, cooling system and various other suspension parts as necessary.

Maitenance will be pretty expensive. Keep that in mind before you buy.

  7. try to go for the 330 model and look for the sport package or a zhp.

Stay away from the auto tranny's, and be prepared to spend money on the suspension.

If you can't/won't drive a 5 speed manual, I'd look for something besides a BMW.

Suspetion your ok until about 100K then figure to spend 2K to replace all the bushings and shocks.

Autos are fine just do the service on it as soon as you get the car.

The major issues with E46 is the rear subframe tars out of the car. I have a E46 M3 Vert and I'm having the turner kit installed to reinforce this area.
