Down the road I'd like to sell my current 5L mustang and get something else.
If I get an old car (pre-70's) I'd update the brakes, suspension, and engine, in that order. I'm not especially concerned about what engine it'd come with since I'd be replacing it w/ a crate motor down to road. The over all plan would be to make the car up with the Muscle Touring style in mind.

Here are some of the cars I'm considering:

66 Mustang Coupe (Fastbacks seem too expensive)
Engine plan - EFI 331 w/ single 67mm turbo way down the road
    [IMG]

    64/65 Nova / Chevy II
Engine plan - Carbed 383 w/ novi 2000 blower later maybe
    [IMG]

    Standard 67-69 Camaro RS
Engine plan - Stock looking probably
    [IMG]

The last option is a LS1 equiped F-Body (98+ I think?). Right now I'm leaning towards the mustang.
    Lets hear some input.

I'm not a big dodge fan. The only dodges I like are too expensive.

But to answer your question I'd go with the camaro. Or a '69 Trans Am.

It looks great I think. If I could afford it I'd get a fastback like this:

67-69 were the only body styles I really liked. :hs:
You can turn them into pretty bad ass cars for much less than you can an older Dodge. :wtc:

There's so many damn camaros around tho, and I'm not partial to the firebird's styling.

    BTW, my Dad had a 70-1/2 trans-am. He now has a 68 El Camino SS w/ a 510ci.
