Before it was bone stock with a nice Burris scope; now it's got a Tactical Solutions barrel and a new synthetic stock

It was easy/fun to change it around, this could get addictive :o

I needed a new one because the old wouldn't take the tacsol barrel, and the tacsol stocks are super ugly and super expensive. I'll see how she works out now; I'd like to try a pistol grip stock and see how it feels :hs:

The length of the barrel was actually reduced by a little bit, but I think this'll work much better.

That's the look I was originally going for with mine, but I've started to realize the limitations of the .22lr round and I'm going to start spending money on bigger calibers.

what kind of accuracy do you guys see with a 22 at say.. 200 yards? is there a lot of compensating for the lack of power in a 22?

at 200 yard I don't believe accuracy exists :mamoru:

Drop at 200 yards is something like 3 feet. It's just not effective at that range.

I read an article a while ago where a guy was hitting silhouettes out to 400yds with a Sheperd scope but he even pointed out that you have to have perfect conditions (no wind) and even at 200yds it's not effective for hunting.

    edit: and here's that article

what range are we talking about then? im looking to get a rifle merely for target shooting.. but id like to have something thatll be a bit more versatile once i get better and can manage further ranges then 100. im thinking hte 308 just incase i ever get a chance to take it hunting.. but then again.. 223 seems a little more cost efficient if im doing a decent amount of range shooting too
