Check the poll...if we decide to change up thefitness contest would you be down with these suggestions?

    1. its not only a physical alteration but an overall improvement of cardiovascular performance and endurance as well

    2. cash prizes awarded at the end for the top 3 placers

    3. possibly a trophy as well?

    4. entree fee? Would you be down with a 10.00 or 20.00 for better prizes?

    5. your thoughts?

I've been lurking in this forum for a while now, trying to get a feel for everything before I jump in and participate. I'm a newb to working out seriously, but I want to participate in the next contest. I read all the stickies for the old contests, and I think it's a great motivator to actually stick with it. I would be willing to donate $20 to the cause.

I would need to know what the prizes are before I donated $20.00, but I would donate $10.00 in a heartbeat.

Ah, I would be down to donate $20.00 then. I checked 10.00 because I didnt know yet, but $20.00 sounds reasonable, plus it will help me stay on my diet and such.

I'll donate 20, but I'm willing to offer a suggestion like the tshirt thing above. get 10-20 in and have a tshirt design made and at the end everyone gets a tshrit and the money left over goes to the winner/winners. That way everyone walks away with something.

I like the idea of doing it as an overall improvement of health/body image.

the one we have starting on the 10th is all about increasing your bench, squat, DL and poses.. but theres more to it than that... theres the aspect of lowering your % of body fat, lowering your resting heartbeat, etc etc...

and I dont mind giving any $$$

less people would enter if the was money.

plus if there is no money, people try and just fail. thus the last fitness contest failed horribly. only 3 people posted progress pictures and it went no where.

i still voted for putting money in. and i dont think you can judge this on a cardio and endurance scale, how would you?

just like any fitness comp like this.. it's all subjective.. but you can tell who's made gains and who hasn't :dunno:
