I know there was a thread for this a while back, but I figured I start another to get a headcount, how many motorheads here (besides me?) Feel free to share some info about your ride if you want?

I'm into cars hardcore and in fact I'm a mechanic and I absolutely love my work. I could (and have) spent hours tinkering with a car.

I'm into cars like it's my job. I've had quite a few as well, mostly BMWs. My current car is a '98 M3. Learned how to drive stick in my dad's '73 911. I've done a lot of work on that car, including replacing the entire front suspension and a fair bit of engine work. I don't have the time to do the work on my cars anymore and just end up paying someone to do it. I've autocrossed and done a couple of track events as well.

Except once I start explaining it, you just stare off into the distance and think about something else. :mamoru:

I have a 1996 M-Edition Miata...I love the fucking look of the car.

I usually call her "start, damn you"

:o j/k, but I love my flip up headlights, the color combo (dark blue on tan), and the parking/gas situation!

Bitch refers to her not wanting to come together. Clutch not adjusted right. $197 for a windsheild. It's a rare year, but she is still a bitch.

Mabey I should call her my bloody rag. She does have a canvas top.

I think I am the only gay guy I know to have worked in a performance shop. I had one customer who became a good friend of mine say "Kris is gay???? Like really gay???? But he's such a bad ass."

Yeah, people don't expect me to be gay. They just think I'm weird. Especially when I point to an IROC camaro and ask if it has a hemi or if it's AWD. :hsugh:

But my real love is detailing.

I was thinking that, the pic you posted in "Post Your Pic Thread" you were sitting in what looked like an EVO, gutted from what I remeber. Damn lucky west coast people, all understanding and stuff, here well, lets just say for the sake of everything I just never mention it. Being surrounded by rednecks sucks. :wtc:

Cabana is your SHO a 1,2, or 3rd Gen? Stick/Auto....I like SHO's, can I have a ride? Its interesting, the success of the 1st and 2nd Gen SHO's is one of the major factors that pushed Volvo to introudce the 850 Turbo.

From the look of it, my toys arent as fancy as some of yours but they make me smile and that is all that matters. My daily driver, which, oddly enough is also my toy, is a `96 Ford Contour. It got named when I replaced my `00 Focus (Bitch) with her, my co-worker named her Jo. I guess I shouldnt have expected anything fancy because the Daihatsu that the was driving was named Mr.Bob. :squint: Since she has spent the last few weeks in the cold garage getting major surgery, she should emerge today as a new man (removed the dead automatic and replaced it with a stick), Marcus will be his name. :mamoru: Here is a link with all the mods if your curious.

My truck is something most gay men wouldnt be caught dead in. A `77 Dodge clubcab longbed 2wd. Its got a complete fuel injected drivetrain out of a `93 under its skin. No name for this one yet. Picked it up for $200, which will come in handy because I wont care if someone hits it or dings it with thier door at the university. I thought I had pics of it online, I will dig around on the other computer and post them if I find them.
