I have 2 of these speakers and i got them free from my brother. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind they were or how many watts they are. Also, would they be worth it to buy an amp and put in my car, i dont want too much base just enough where it cant be heard from otuside the car. Also, what kinda amp should i get?

if you are feeling especially thrifty, you could run them off your headunit....

If they aren't visually obtrusive and take up too much space, then sure.

They would almost certainly put out better bass than the factory speakers.

I'd say its pretty hard to set up if you have no prior experience. How much money do you want to spend on an amp?

Well, how much does a decent amp cost? I don't really want to put too much money into it right now.

Yeah. If the headunit had a built in low pass filter that would be a definite plus.

I wouldnt spend more than 80 or so on an amplifier for those woofers.

Those looke like subs. For that you would need a mono-channel amp to power it. http://www.cartoys.com/
