OT car krew - how are 5.0l's?

    found something with a '90 5.0 cobra engine and tranny in it. how are they? strong? any experiences? opinions?

    Did they do a cobra conversion because Cobras didn't come out till 1993.....
    What year cobra engine? If its a 5.0 engine there isn't that much difference between that and the regular engine.

    not sure, its not in a mustang. i just know it has a 90 5.0 in it, so maybe not a cobra. how are the 5.0 HO engines?

    the tranny and engine i guess have 5k on them. tranny has new gears and cryo'd input shaft. has 150 shot on it, is that pushing it? i know nothing about ford:noes:

    just rebuilt, 5k, toyota 4runner, stock engine with 150 shot, cryo'd input shaft on tranny and new gears

    Probably thoroughly abused.


    And why is he selling it 5k miles after a rebuild? Maybe something wasn't done right?

    Anything that custom/modified is probably gonna require a lot of maintenance and tinkering to keep running properly.

    You'd be better off trying to find a 90-93ish 5.0 Mustang with low miles, stock, adult-owned, and go from there.

    Pre-modded = trouble. :nono: (speaking from experience)

    interesting, i know it wasnt used constantly just to get out of problems. i know i wont use it.....i dont think:mamoru:

    its all in a 85 4runner, says he doesnt want to sell it. i dont want a mustang :o
