Hey y'all, just got a used 300D Friday with two lenses (kit lens and a 75-300). I'm not completely new to photography; I took one class in high school with a normal SLR :hs:... Anyway, here are some shots that I've taken the past couple of days. Let me know what you think. :o

What would you suggest? I already did the auto contrast/color/etc. stuff in CS2... :hs:

um something to contrast the different greens, I'm too much of a noob to be technical...

I just see a lot of potential in that pic. As I understand, of all the colors, green is the one the human eye can distinguish the most tones of, that's why night vision goggles give a green image...

    maybe brighten it up?

I'm thinking maybe some type of effect like this...something that really brightens up and contrasts the environment against the paddler...

#9 is the only one that actually looked somewhat appealing.

I noticed in a few photographs (1 & 11) where you used rule of thirds, but the subject image was placed too low. Frame out more so the subject rests perfectly inside the frame. :hs:

Thanks guys. Yeah, I noticed after I started editing the images that I tend to rush my shots a lot. I'll definitely start paying more attention to composition/exposure etc. to try and get better shots.

    :)
