I have an iBook G4 (those small white ones before they got smaller and faster) with OSX 10.3.9. Is there anyway to upgrade to a newer OS? I dont know what to do :hs:

You should be able to load Tiger as long as yours has the DVD drive. If not, it is still possible but not as easy.

As for the memory, you'll need to run AT LEAST 1gb for it to be a decent improvement. your machine supports up to 1.5gb of RAM in 1 slot.

dont bother listening to that at least 1 gig of ram shit. tiger is designed to work fine on 512. you will need a dvd drive, if you dont have a combo drive [cd-rw/dvd-rom -- most ibooks had that] Lacie makes a dvd drive that works with mac [as well as a few other companies but i cant remember off the top of my head]

tiger is nice, personally i cant live without dashboard now [tiger feature]

edit: if you do photo or video editing the extra ram would be nice, but if you just plan on getting tiger you dont need more than 512.

my web browsing is slow as fuck. It takes forever to load pictures on great connection. Ram issue? :wtc: I'll have to figure out what to do with the DVD drive issue. I dont feel like buying a drive just to install Tiger.
