It happened two or three times for me. When I started Safari - when other application was open-, OS X would just freeze and won't work.

Anyone know how to fix this or has it happen to you?

Shit, mine hasn't locked up since Public Beta!

Try a fresh install. You won't lose anything, but you'll have to run the updates again.

Safari man. Safari. It's a POS. I have problems with that POS browser locking up a lot.

I've had the "Something has gone wrong, you must restart your computer now" error a couple of times.. But only when my news reader is digging out a couple of gig of swap and I'm using photoshop. ;)

good call on the re-install, although you might want to check you don't have any dodgy add-ons.. I usually find nuking them helps

Go buy yourself a copy of DiskWarrior. It's well worth the money.
Basicly it'll rebuild your drive and fix any problems along way and can optimize the drive as well.
This has fixed problems for me that Norton Utilities didn't, couldn't or gets locked up on, even when booting from it's CD. And I'm going back to OS 8.1 with my experences with DW and Norton.

I use Safari (I am right now) and it only locks up when im trying to load 200 photos. Other than that, it works great for me. the only other time my computer has ever crashed is when I accidently tried to open 125 photos from a cd. Yeah, the OS didn't like that!

Well, I don't usually use Safari that often...

I guess I was expecting too much from Apple and thought that Apple would never crush... :hs:
