Hey guys I have a HP mini with ubuntu MIE on it, but that ought to be irrelevant to the issue here. computer worked fine, I charged it, and when I booted it up, it went to BIOS, loading bar for the OS [Ubuntu MIE] came up, went ~80% let's say and then I get the following error, pre-OS, on a BIOS style white letter on black background screen-"*Setting the system clock". I opened up the bios and saw that indeed the clock was off by a few hours. I reset it, and, to no avail. Was able to randomly get in my OS once, but things were wonky, and i haven't been able to get back in since. is my CMOS dead?
    Thanks

I know it'd be pretty hard to get a screenshot, but is there any way you can get a photo of where it hangs?

Go into bios, try looking for a selection that says load default settings. Shut off and turn back on afterwards see if that helps you any
