I know I have the reading skills of a second grader but still. If I caught the promo right it looks like Tito and Rashad are the main event over the othetr two title fights. What the hell gives there?:greddy:

Tito Ortiz is a better known name than the other four fighters.

I never heard it announced as a headliner, just heard it announced first on the commercials.

Who really cares who "headlines" it, as long as they show the others.

If you look at the fight card, it has Anderson as the main event. But I think it is in Titos contract that his fights have to be headlined

I don't know about that, but I know Tito is the best person on that card to sell PPV's.

I dont think so too much anymore. If this was 6-9 months ago, I would agree. But I think now adays someone as electric as Anderson would sell teh card just as much

I think he's definitely got a chance. Hes got awesome wrestling and I think Titos gonna have a hard time trying to take him down. I'm pickin Rashad to win.

Plus hes been working on his striking alot and after seein his fight with sean salmon hes definitely got knockout power.

I'm with you on this. Just seems most of the talk I've seen says tito will take this one without a doubt. Just curious what ot'ers thought.

because Tito vs Forrest was a headliner? :hsugh:

as stated, he is a huge sell. if her is headlining this card i am not suprised, A.Silva has very little drawing power for a champ, Nate thge Great has no draw, and similar for Sherk and unfortunately as well for Franca.

I think rashad will ge the split or unan Dec.

His wrestling is better than titos. He got outwreslted by Salmon, but Salmon was also allstate champ for OSU. Tito's wrestling seems to just get worse.

Cardio on both is excellent, so Tito cant grind out a win like he likes to.

on the feet rashad should be able to pick him apart.

and I dont see Tito getting him down.

so my guess is rashad outstriking for a dec.

sup[risingly not. non-english champs are not that marketable in america, especially if they are dark skinned. not saying the fans are racist, but Silva isnt 1/10th as marketable as Franklin at 185.

i think Marqardt vs Silva is the hardest fight to call. It all depends on how Nate wants to fight. If he wants to win and be boring or if he wants to lose and be exciting, seems liek its all up to him.

Yeah, I was really unsure who to pick between those 2. I really like both fighters but I think I'm goin with Marquardt. I'm pretty sure Nate will be to take down Silva and control the fight from there.

Yea, its pretty weird. All the billboards I see have Tito and Rashad on them. No Silva / Marq :dunno:

because 90% of UFC fans dont knwo who nate is and only know Silva as "that guy that beat franklin". Tito is a household name and gets people talking and buying. not rocket surgury.

it's probably better off being the headliner anyways...i dont see the other matches being more exciting than this one even though style matchup wise they all seem decision bound
