I am thinking about buying one, but it's next to impossible to find an original - I havn't been able to find one for much under $1,000. Just imports with the added safety and, if I'm not mistaken, altered grip. I want the original for historic value

I know that a 'fair' price is what I'm willing to pay, but is $1,000+ reasonable?

Sorry, should have been more clear. I am just looking for Russian non-import marked, any year, & good condition - if I could find a Romanian even better, but I've not heard of any intact ones. I have found a number of imports for $250 or so with the safety though.

This is mine...a 1944 Soviet, without any import markings or safeties.

1000$ is way too much, but you can have mine for half that!

It's very tempting. I will have to sleep on it, but I think tomorrow I'll see about a dealer here that will import. How is the bore? Have you had it long? Do you have the holster & rod+brush?

Do you know of anyone there looking to sell one? I can't find any here and the imports are going for about $250.
