For just personal use, Polishing and Waxing, should I be able to get by with a 6.5" orange cutting
    6.5" white polishing
    6.5" black finishing

    all Lake Country pads?

or is there a better combo i should go with?

I'd get at least one cutting, 2-3 polishing and one finishing pad. Lake Country is fine, so are the Meguiars pads. Not sure if excel detail ships to Canada, but the Propel pads they carry are also very good.

I'm not too worired about the shipping to canada, it's more so the duties and customs charges at the border. Which is why I prefer to get stuff from canadian retailers. Unfortunately, for most things, they're few and far between.
