It's boring, a stock all-weather 10/22 that I've used for plinking for the last couple years.

After the rifle class that MG and I took last weekend, I decided that I'd go ahead with doing a cheapy benchrest type of build with it. Market Garden has a Shilen target barrel that he'll let me use, and I just ordered a Hogue overmold stock and a Volquartsen hammer for it.

That'll be fun when it's done.

    at the Shilen tube.

    It's so pretty. :hs:

I'm pumped to get it. The gun's going to look silly though, the barrel's black (blued), the stock will be black, the trigger assembly is black (ruger messed up when replacing my original silver one under warranty), so only the receiver will be silver. Oh well. :mamoru:

    Krylon high temp paint.

Seriously. The factory Ruger "silver" finish is nothing more itself.

Just spraypaint the receiver housing black, or whatever color you'd rather it be. Probably don't even need to use hi-temp paint, mine has never gotten hot.

I was actually trying to remember if I used the high temp stuff or not. I'm betting that it wouldn't matter too. 22's aren't exactly barn burners.
