    1.83 Core 1
    512 MB
    60GB Hard drive
    $799

I have 2 gigs of RAM coming along with 100 GB HD for a little over $200, so I'm hoping to have a great laptop for 1000 bucks.

Am I going to be happy with this? I really wanted a macbook pro, but don't have the funds. Will this thing be powerful enough to do a lot of editing in Lightroom? I'm also concerned about he 64 MB VRAM. I want to do dual monitors with a 20" Samsung, but I'm wondering if it'll be able to handle it. Anyone have experience with the 1st gen macbook with dual monitors?

this is true (sans the 2GB ram)... i would say go C2D, save up and upgrade the ram. you'll be happier

Yeah...it was an impulse buy. I did have a imac C1D 1.83mhz and it flew with lightroom with only a gig of RAM. So I'm hoping this will be close to the same. If nothing else people go ape shit over anything with the apple logo on ebay, so I'll probably be able to recover most, if not all the money if I don't like it.
