whatsup guys....i was going to get a canon a80 but i couldnt find it anywhere local, and they said it was discontinued, so i found the canon a85 on amazon for cheaper than they even had the a80, which is apparently the new model thats out, anybody know of the exact changes they made to the new models or anything new they added? i checked the specs of the a80 and 85 and they seemed to be the same, and i guess they came out with an a95 as well. i should have it next week i cant wait. :wiggle:

wow thanks for the site thats great

apparently the only differences i found between the a80 and a85 is...

    A80- Sensor size 1/1.8 " (7.18 x 5.32 mm)
    A85- Sensor size 1/2.7" (5.27 x 3.96 mm)

    A80- Zoom tele (T) 114 mm (3 x)
    A85- Zoom tele (T) 105 mm (3 x)

    A80- Digital zoom Yes, 3.2 x
    A85- Digital zoom Yes, 3.6 x

    A80- Zoom wide (W) 38 mm
    Zoom tele (T) 114 mm (3 x)
    A85- Zoom wide (W) 35 mm
    Zoom tele (T) 105 mm (3 x)

    A80- Continuous Drive Yes, 2.4 fps, 5 frames, 1.6 fps, 8 frames
A85- Continuous Drive Yes, 1.5 fps, max 8 images

    A80- Movie Clips Yes, 320 x 240, 15 fps, max 3 mins
    A85- Movie Clips Yes, 640 x 480, 10 fps, max 30 sec

Other than that the new one is just a bit smaller and lighter, and i dont believe the LCD flips out and twists like the old one.
