what are some opposing views and ideas to this

"The order that food is eaten can make a significant difference in the number of calories absorbed. For example, eating a high-fiber food prior to eating a high-fat food will cause the body to absorb up to 30 percent fewer total calories than if they are eaten in the opposite order."

So much random shit gets posted on the internet that you cant believe anything unless it's backed by some kind of actual research. I've heard all my life from random idiots you should eat big meals before bed... it doesnt make it true in any sence, just an old wives tale. Actually, I think I read an artical that said it makes no difference, and in fact was good to eat just before bed and just after you wake up to keep your body from breaking down muscle while you sleep and to keep your metabolism running for longer periods of time without long breaks.

If you soak your bread in water it actually will make the carbs into the liquid and you will piss it out before it absorbs into your body

Yep, I've heard it. Along with "eating carbs and fat at the same time makes you fat" and "carbs after 6 p.m. make you fat" and "eating after 7 p.m. makes you fat" and "eating breakfast makes you skinny" and every other load of BS out there.

it's actually true... for best absorbtion:

    1- protein
    2- carbs
    3- fats
4-fiberous carbs (green veges, high fiber foods)

If you barf, you only get to lose up to 50% of the calories you ate and by taking MASSIVE doses of laxatives, you'd only absorb about 10% less calories. So yeah, it's bullshit.

I remember someone on here (I think it was Ceaze?) who posted a while back saying that you should always eat your protein AFTER carbs, not the other way around.

Man, that's just a dude saying something, that's not backed by anything and there are no numbers concerning the percentage of protein loss in this "source".

    "idiots... do your research"

And yes, eat your brocolli before your beef and I guarantee you'll eat less, but first of all who always eats perfect separated meals like it and second, who fucking cares

I was low carbing two days ago - which means my protein intake was through the roof (compared to normal). When I went over to my girlfriend's she started complaining that I was like a furnance and we couldn't figure out why she was freezing and I was sweating. Good post white.

beleive what you want but a lot of good bbers agree with that guys post (he has like 20 yrs of experience and really knows his shit).

I gave it a try and have been doing it ever since for the past 6 months... I can really tell the difference...

one of the best things in doing that is that I can eat more... I have a very very small appetite but I have a very fast metabolism so i need to eat a lot... anyway I can get more food in I will do it
