    no to assembling.

no limits isnt all that close to gg, its off the 55 in tustin.
and good luck getting decent training there. they have a revolving door of instructors usually.

try out nam phan's gym in garden grove on brookhurst. you might like it. i didnt.

not sure if youre on the orange/anaheim side of gg or the stanton/wetminhtah/hb side of gg. but around evening class time your gonna have a shitstorm of traffic to get through.

I train under a Cleber BB, and Cleber comes up to do seminars frequently...I've never been to his academy, but he's a very good instructor.

take a class at each place and decide what you like. I think ralph gracie OC would be good for you as a beginner because the beginner classes really stress good fundamentals and we have a freaking army of white belts.. lol

so i decided to go with nolimits. Their nogi and gi BJJ schedule is perfect for my schedule. i can easily put in 10 hours of training a week with just 3 round-trips to the gym. they also gave me a great price.

why is that a bad thing? i think it's beneficial if you train under different instructors to diversify your game

because the instructors theyve had there run thru the motions teaching whatever, not having any continuity thru their curriculum. then theyre gone in a few months.

its nice to have a couple intructors at your school that have a consistent flow to what theyre teaching you, getting to know your game as you develop so that during drills or after-class time you get some focus time from them to help you improve.

but diversity is good. i go to my new school for constant development, then i visit other schools for open mats or pay a class mat fee where i know other students.
that way i get to see other styles and a taste of other jiu jitsu philosophies. :hs:
