What is the consitency of this polish supposed to be? I just cracked open the bottle I got last fall (havn't used/opened it yet since winter arrived shortly after getting it).
It's the consistency of water, and looks like milkyb water with little white chunks floating around in it, almost like sour milk. I thought maybe it seperated and shook the shit out of it for a while, but there isn't any difference.
I definately think something is wrong since it's not taking out any scratches/swirl marks, and barely leaving any shine after buffing it off.

I'm using a PC to apply and a microfiber towel to buff off.

Okay, I just threw a coat of #16 on the hood, over the polish (hood was the only area that I polished, and now waxed) and it looks like crap. It doesn't look nearly as good as I thought it would. To be honest, the PBW polish then EXP I used last year (without any wax ontop of it) Looked a hell of a lot better than this does right now :hs:

What the crap am I doing wrong? is my polish no good? Is there any way i can fix it?

    edit:

Either you got a bad bottle or it needs to be shaken more. I just bought a bottle today that had been sitting in my distributor's van for quite a while and I had to shake it a good 20-30 seconds to get it to recombine.

Try taking the cap off and stir up the bottom of the bottle then shake it up real good.

I'll give it a shot, I'll shake the crap out of it for a good minute or so, see if I can't get it to mix up. What SHOULD the consistency be like?

Keep shaking it until it doesn't sound like water inside. You will know when that happens, believe me.

My optimum sat for about a month here not to long ago, it seperated preat baddly. I also had it setting int eh trunk of my car overnight for two days during that period, and it was relatively cold. It seperated REALLY bad. So try the long stick method and see if it can reconstitute that way. Otherwise, keep shaking.

    It will re mix.

Shake the crap out of it. It should go from like a watery sound, to a thick shake.......

I had to take a long handled spoon and crap all the crap off of the bottom, then shook the shit out of it. Much better now :wiggle: thanks.

Is this the same for the majority of all polishes out there?

Mines like that now, that I stirred it up and shook the shit out of it to get it to mix back up again. Now I can't squeeze it out of the fucking little hole in the bottle.

I'm thinking of drilling the damn hole bigger lol
