So last night i decided to try out OS on my black STI. Washed, clayed, OS, OCW, then topped of with a hit from ONR Quick Detail mix. I was pretty happy with the results and it took about 3 hours or so to do.

    From last night:

Then i got up this morning and took a few more:

This picture is in the hood, if you look at the above picture, this one is in the middle of the hood, above the subaru emblem.

And some other shots from this morning:

blue though her mother was fawn and she has a little of that coming through parts of her coat...and ya, i was trying to avoid wheel shots because i forgot to bring my tire dressing to the wash station, lol.

thanks dude, i took 6 of those shots, 3 with the flash and 3 without and that was the best one. The others picked up a lot of sparkle from the flake in the paint and made it look kinda funny.

im a little confused with using the optimum line...

i have an 07 taffeta white civic si and i wanted to do a wash and wax on it...

    is this logical?

    wash with ONR
    claybar
    opti-seal
    rinse?
    optimum car wax

is there a need for poli-seal? why would someone use it?

Wow, that looks nice! I think I may have to get some Opti-Seal. Geez, did they put enough STi badges on it though?

I wouldnt bother rinsing after the opti-seal. Otherwise thats exactly what i did.

Poli-Seal is a polish combined with opti-seal. So you would use it when you want to do some paint correction.

werd, that and the big wing...something about rally heritage. 6 stickers on the exterior, on both front floor mats, on the gauge cluster, on the steering wheel, and on the shifter trim. Its hard to forget you drive an STI, lol. If you get the fog light option the big STI stickers on front go away though.

I bought it because its soooo much fun to drive and the looks have been growing on me.

You don't have to use wax over Opti-Seal. It is a stand alone sealant that should provide 4-6 months of good protection. Using a wax after using a sealant like OS adds some depth and warmth to the paint-the effect is most noticable on dark, non metallic paints.

not a mirrors, its my hood yo.

Though someone on nasioc thought the same thing. Don't think he believed me...but if you look around the camera lense, you can see the pearl/blue flake in the paint sparkling.

I took 6 of these shots, 3 with flash and 3 without and this was the best of the 6.

ya, i guess there is a reason they call it obsidian black swirl...but its not too bad, i only notice them in certain angles in sunlight.
