    Eotech 512 or Aimpoint ML2?

    The former is less expensive.
the latter seems to be, by most reviews, more rugged.

Any opinions from those of you who have used both?

Haven't used an Aimpoint before. Love the Eotech though. Easy target acquisition. The 65/1 moa reticle is great.

Eotech without a doubt. Used both a lot and I like the view from the Eotech much better. Get it with AA batteries and it will last you a LONG time and will be easy to replace.

Only thing I like about the Aimpoint is the aesthetics. If you only care about looks then get what you like more looks wise.

Eotech might be faster since you're not looking through a tube.

The Aimpoint works better for me if I'm trying to shoot tiny groups because I have a little bit of astigmatism and my eyes distort the 1MOA dot on the Eotech. My eyes deal with the larger dot more easily.

I think the majority of the Eotech hate is bullshit.

Werd, I started out with the Aimpoint but after getting the Eotech I have converted to liking the Eotech much more.

I havent bought either yet but the way things read to me, some of the earlier revision eotechs might have had some issues that have since been cleared up.

EOTech is the best choice for 95% of people, imo. Aimpoint only really shines if you need a year of continuous battery run-time... Otherwise, get an EOTech. I love my 552. And 65/1moa is so nice. The aimpoint 2moa is "meh".

I like the Aimpoints. Used an EO, but didn't like it for target shooting.

If you were raiding buildings and bustin' down doors, the EO is probably better for CQB. However, will you be doing this? Probably not...

The correct WMD answer is, of course, to buy both and mount them on two separate rifles. :bigthumb:
