ball shouldn't pop unless you're using some mondo weight with a barbell ... and you'll probably want to try it light first, since it's more challenging.

They place it by the squat rack. This one guy just hopped on it. Though the others had to use the posts to steady themselves first.

My gym doesn't allow phones just because of pics being taken. I assumed the same for other gyms.

Something else fun to try on a ball:

Make sure you have a ball that's large enough to support your weight and that's a decent height off the ground. Try to position yourself so you're kneeling on top of the ball. Start by putting one knee up, then the other, and try to straighten your back. Hold the position for as long as you can. This is an incredible test of core strength.

My kung fu instructor is the only one I've ever seen who can actually pull it off.

    Weird, mine too (24).

I guess it's because if someone is doing an exercise improperly, they don't want any lawsuits coming back to them saying that the trainers hadn't properly instructed the people? Then again, everyone signs a waiver with membership ...

Or maybe it's just because of people not giving written conesnt to be in photos while walking by?

They put both feet on one ball, then squat just like normal?

    That seems so dangerous.

I suppose if you had a thick mat underneath and did it without any weight ... :dunno:

If they were doing them with a bar on their back, that's pretty insane.

Then again, you're talking about guys who beat the shit out of each other on the rink. If I took enough shots to the dome on a daily basis, I might think of some crazy shit to do in the gym, too. :o

They also regularly have a bunch of actors working out at my gym whenever they're shooting in town.

Talked to Walberg when he was here fiming "Four Brothers" and saw 50 Cent a number of times.
Jamie Foxx worked out here too.
Trainer told me Catherine Zeta Jones and Rene Zellwigger (sp?) worked out here regularly as well when filming Chicago.
Relic Hunter chick I saw here regularly as well before the show got canned as well as one of the main actors from Mutant X.
The director of Pacifier works out here still and so did Vin Diesel when he was in town.
