I will admit first I know very little to nothing about knives except diving knives (ie SCUBA). I saw this knife and liked it but figured I'd get some opinions

Description: The Gerber® Mini Paraframe™ is designed for the person who wants to carry a lightweight folding knife in their pant or suit pocket. The 2.25-in blade is ground from high-grade, surgical stainless steel and is securely held in place with a "frame lock". The clip, also stainless steel, is designed to function as a money clip as well.

I think that knife looks nice. Gerber products are generally very good. The only misgiving I have with that model is that it'll require two hands to actuate the blade's opening and closing. You might try to find a knife with a thumb stud and a liner lock. These things will allow you to use the knife one-handed.

Are you looking for this knife to be just something for you to carry around or for a work purpose. If it's just something to carry around it's fine, but if you want it to be a work knife I'd get something that has a more traditional frame.

Other than that I'd take attomica's advice on locking mechanisms.

Looks real nice, but partial serration on a 2.25" blade = :ugh:

I'd personally look into the Stainless Spyderco Delica.
