    Yea, I'm a hardcore gamer but not ready to shell out $400 for a FX 5900 256.

    Radeon 9700 non pro is what you want to try to seek out. best performance per $

    I love nVidia cards, but the NV30 shipset just flat-out sucks. If you don't want to shell out for the FX5900, then get an ATI.

    check www.madonion.com for 3dmark result, also just do search for card reviews, you can really find good info on google/yahoo, I have been looking around for about a month now and still cannot decide what card to get...it's just so fucking confusing :wtc:

    I personally think the 5600 is a good midrange card, but don't pay any extra $$$ for the 256 MB version because it doesn't really help with the performance at that level. Looking for an ATI 9700 non-pro as a comparison is probably a good idea as well.
