Anyone have or read any good reviews about the FN Five Seven? The gun store guy said it was a great gun, low recoil, 20 rd capacity, he said its really accurate. Thoughts?

If you want a novelty gun or range gun, sure. Unless you're military or law enforcement and can buy armor piercing rounds it has terrible terminal ballistics compared to even a 9mm fmj round. So as long as your goal isn't defense I say go for it.

$900 gun that feels like a $20 bb gun

:werd: If you put half the money into a CZ52 that you'd spend on an FN five-seven you'd end up with just as good a gun (minus the capacity).

hmmm well I have enough "tacticool" guns, I just thought it was neat and something fun to blast with. THe guy said the ammo isn't that that expensive and he tries to keep it in stock.

I will look into the CZ as well.

If you call $.50 a round "not that expensive" then no it's not expensive at all. I'll stick with 9mm @ .10-.12 a round, though, thanks.

What the salesman saiud is true. It has the recoil of a 22 magnum, shoots flat as heck out to 100 yards, 20 round capacity (they make a +10 rnd adapter to make the bags carry 30 rounds.

Fire controls (safety) are a bit odd compared to "normal" handguns, and opposed to what alot of non-fans will tell you, the wound ballistics of the round are impressive as all hell... the cz52 has the great penetration, but that is all that round does, it is not a defensive round at all...
