    I've only had this camera for a week and it's my first SLR so I'm still learning it. Figured i'd put a few pictures up for comment & critique. Be gentle. ;)

    hmmm, oregonian eh. let me see if i can find my pictures from the rock house in the winter when i snowmobiled in.

    I like the silhouette picture, the others are kind of bland. I think it's because the lighting is too flat.

    How would I improve the lighting? are you talking about making adjustments on the camera or changing the time of day that i'm photographing?

    Either time of day, or where you're shooting. If there is light and shadows and you are only on the shadow side of the the ridge or whatever it can be dull.

    mmk. is there anyway to brighten up/liven up the colors via camera settings? I'm colorblind, so that part is kind of tough for me.

    1 doesn't really have a point and 2 has a blown out sky.. The others I don't really have anything to say about :hs:

    #4 FTW.

    Get a circular polarizer for your camera. They're not that expensive and will liven up the otherwise bland colors in a lot of those photos.

    too bad proxy was closed because of a rockslide, that was the destination
