Cant decide which one to get. Hummer is cheaper but the interior is a bit more spartan, it is unique though. On the other hand, we have the escalade little more pricier but you get a lot more options and it seems more comfortable. :dunno:

and what is it that u think that they are intended for? Transportation? Hauling people as well hauling large items around? Feeling safe after being involved in a life threatening accident? Or is it just for off roading....:squint:

 :slap: Not safer my arse.

I've driven a few Escalades, and I do not recommend them.

They do not drive or have the feel of a $55k luxury vehicle. The interior is about the same as a much lower priced Chevrolet or GMC product, with a very cheap feel. The only thing Cadillac about it is the seats, which are just okay. It is also lacking in a host of features that should be standard and available at that price range.

I highly recommend the H2, it is performing well in off-road reviews, and provides good on-road manners as well. It is quite a jack of all trades instead of a one trick pony.

Actually, if you are going to spend that much money, and want a nice truck to drive, buy the new Lincoln Navigator.

It doesn't have the raw power of either GM product, but everything else about it is vastly nicer, and it isn't like it comes with a weak engine anyways.

The interior is beautiful, it offers many more luxury items than the Escalade, you can probably buy it cheaper, and it's more unique.

Lincoln Navigator > Escalade right now, especially for the money.

Yeah the Navigator has a 300 hp 5.4 V8 engine in it. No slouch IMO. I would agree with Trishield. If you want somethin luxury get a Nav, if you would rather have off-road get the H2, not to mention the cool factor.

Those new H2's are really nice. I've looked at a few at the Cadillac dealer in town and prefer them more.

The new Navigators are pretty amazing, much better the the Expeditions. The interior is amazing too.

Damn, if I had the money I'd buy a Town Car Cartier L. But once again it has to be if I were 55 and cash-loaded.

well depends on your applications, the escalade is nice, its powerful its never gonna be placed offroad(due to its 4wd system) so if u wanna go pimpin around, i recommend the escalade

the H2 - this car believe it or not can handle the rubicon, it was designed for offroad in mind, comes w/ the 315's and all. yet looking at all the current owners, it seems as the ultimate yuppy mobile, people buy em, drive em on the street and "look cool" yet they dont know jack about wat and wat not their car can handle nor will they ever test it(its a shame) the only downside mechanically so far to the H2 is that it seems as underpowered as all the rest of the hummers, i think it should get the new duramax diesel or the 8.1 ltr and not the 6.0 ltr v8.

    phill

edit: H2 = pimped out tahoe as well, same frame, but has the 3/4 suspension(larger control arms i believe and the 14 bolt instead of the 12 bolt out back)

vw suv would be nice if they brought the diesel version to the states.

The chassis is only the basis for the H2, if you've read anything about them you'd know they were an entirely different animal otherwise than a Tahoe.

If you don't go off-road, and want a large comfy vehicle with a real quality interior, luxury features and performance, get the redesigned '03 Lincoln Navigator.

After seeing a Lincoln Aviator in person the other day, I'd probably go with that over all of them.
