My left hand tends to turn (palm facing inwards) in the bottom part of the motion and my elbow tucks. When I force it to stay straight, not only does it feel like I'm turned outward (palm facing out), but I get some mild discomfort in my shoulder.

    What could this be?

Edit: What happened to my title

The right side is near perfect, but the left hand rotates and the left elbow tucks, so not good at all.

Example: I usually pyramid up, so I'll start 5-10lb below what I want to end at on each side when doing db's.

Obviously...let me quote my first post:

When I correct my form (hand straight, elbow out) my shoulder hurts.
