    Internet Explorer Question

EDIT : No longer Opera question, want to fix IE

Ok screw it, im not liking Opera too much. My IE keeps bringing up a "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." every time i open it up. I tried uninstalling and re-installing it from the Add/Remove Component menu but it didnt work at all ???? I am stumped ???

You might also consider checking out Mozilla Firebird.

If you cannot get IE working again, try out Firebird. It's pretty similar in ease of use and it's much faster on the web. I do enjoy the tabbed browsing as well.

The only problem i find with Mozilla is when i click on a video file (.mpg, .mpeg, .wmv, etc) it doesnt download automatically, just brings up a page with weird code. I have to do a "Save Target As" instead which is kinda annoying, any way to fix this ???

I haven't had that happen in firebird since the latest update or two.now you can view most videos in browser or download them.

I just posted a response the other day on another post, if you search for it.

Look in control panel/add remove programs for any programs installed that you do not recognize.

This happened to my fathers PC and I found 2 suspicious programs, and looked them up online to to remove. One of them required deleting reg keys, so have fun. It took me almost two hours. Once you can get back into IE, run Spybot to get the rest of the crap out.
